March Class Series: MOBILITY


What people sometimes forget is that strength training when done in a full range of motion is actually mobility training. However, mobility training does not equal strength training. (Kathryn Bruni-Young)

There has been a lot of talk in the world of yoga these days about “mobility training” (myself included!)

But what is mobility? And how is it different than flexibility? These are excellent, and important, questions (especially if you teach yoga or movement) and some of what we’ll dive into in this month’s class series.

For me, personally, when I understood (experientially, not just theoretically) the differences, It was a game changer!Joints became more stable (and less achy), effort was better distributed, and things I thought I “couldn’t do” became do-able.

Each class will include approximately 45 minutes of movement and asana, as well as breath work, meditation, and a full savasana.

Each week will also include contemplations for you to work with during the days between classes.

All classes will be recorded and the recordings will be available for one week.

Saturdays in March (6, 13, 20, 27)
